Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Why is this important?

First and foremost: treating all people with respect is the right and moral way for how we want to work at dormakaba. Diverse & inclusive organizations are more successful, provide increased organizational effectiveness with higher employee engagement because employees can thrive. Why? Because diverse teams and leadership bring different perspectives, knowledge and ideas, enabling more meaningful innovation and supports greater access to new market segments. However, for diverse teams to thrive it is important to further develop an inclusive culture.

What are our targets?

The drive for equity is at the heart of the global sustainable development agenda, with its central ambition to "leave no one behind" and supports a number of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals that we are committed to. Therefore, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion are important topics of the People Pillar within our Sustainability Framework. We take action to build a more diverse workforce and an inclusive culture, where no one is discriminated on any grounds, like gender, sexual orientation, religious and cultural background.

Our targets are:
  •  1 in 3 managers are women by 2027
  •  25% women in succession planning for senior management positions by 2027
