Our history
A strong heritage for future growth
Our history and heritage trace back over 160 years, rooted in the rich traditions of two pioneering companies: DORMA, founded in Germany in 1908, and Kaba, established in Switzerland in 1862. Both companies earned global reputations for innovation in access control and security solutions. In 2015, their merger formed dormakaba, creating one of the top three global players in the access and security industry.
