dormakaba and Rohde & Schwarz continue their cooperation in the field of critical infrastructure

Thursday, June 5, 2025

Rümlang, 5 June 2025 – As part of its Germany-wide KRITIS Security Days, dormakaba is hosting an exclusive specialist event at the Rohde & Schwarz headquarters in Munich. Against the backdrop of the upcoming KRITIS Umbrella Act, which implements an EU directive and will reorganize the protection of critical infrastructure in Germany starting in 2025, both companies are continuing their proven collaboration in this area. At the global research center at the Munich headquarters, dormakaba and Rohde & Schwarz are jointly testing advances in the development of innovative security solutions for facilities requiring special protection.

The KRITIS Security Day at Rohde & Schwarz will feature prominent presentations by leading security experts. Another highlight of the event will be a tour of the global research center at the company headquarters. Participants will gain exclusive insights into a joint pilot system developed by dormakaba and Rohde & Schwarz for automated personnel screening (APS). This system was successfully put into operation at Munich Airport in April 2025 and is already being implemented in pilot projects worldwide, including in the US, Singapore, and the Netherlands. Following the test phase, the solution will be offered not only for airports but also for other critical infrastructure sites, such as power plants, data centers, and research facilities.

The KRITIS Security Days event organized by dormakaba offers a unique platform for professional exchange with industry leaders. Participants will learn firsthand how innovative technologies and best practices help strengthen the physical security of critical infrastructure and meet the legal requirements of the coming years.

By expanding their successful collaboration – from the airport business to comprehensive solutions for all critical infrastructure sectors – dormakaba and Rohde & Schwarz are underscoring their commitment to developing and providing cutting-edge technology for the safety of people and facilities.
