Advancing sustainability across our value chain: dormakaba reports continued progress

Key sustainability achievements in FY 2025/26

Reducing the environmental footprint and advancing circular product design

Over the past financial year, dormakaba continued to reduce its environmental footprint. Operational CO₂ emissions have been reduced by 26% (19,621 tCO₂e) since FY 2019/20, while landfill waste has been cut by 74% (2,543 tonnes) since FY 2020/21.

At the same time, dormakaba continued to strengthen transparency and responsible product development. A total of 281 sustainability-related product declarations and certifications have now been published, providing customers with greater insight into the environmental impact of its products.

Furthermore, the company introduced two product variants developed under the EcoDesign Specification Template, EasyAssist and EasyAssist Pro. They support circularity through energy reuse, the elimination of hydraulic oil and lead, and the use of recycled aluminum, steel and zinc, enabling lower maintenance, reduced environmental impact and safer end-of-life recycling.

Strengthening health, safety and responsible sourcing

Employee health and safety remain key priorities for dormakaba. Through systematic measurement and continuous improvement, the company has reduced its recordable injury rate by 40% since FY 2020/21.

dormakaba is also working closely with its suppliers to improve sustainability performance throughout its value chain. In FY 2025/26, 77% of reassessed suppliers improved their sustainability score, demonstrating the value of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Looking ahead: building on progress

The 2026/27 financial year will mark the final year of dormakaba’s current Sustainability Framework. Building on the progress achieved so far, the company is already developing its next sustainability strategy. The aim is to further strengthen its commitments, increase its positive impact, and continue integrating sustainability into the way dormakaba innovates, operates and collaborates across its value chain.
